Motorists thrash

A man who shouted to a motorist after he was drenched with the water kicked up by a speeding car was thrashed by the motorist and his companions.
The motorist and associates also threatened the complainant by opening fire in the air.
Later, a mob vandalised house and vehicles of one of the attackers.
According to a source, one RK Ranjit of Sagolband Bijoy Govinda Leikai was standing near his residential gate at around 10 pm yesterday.
Suddenly, a car sped past him splashing water on him.
He shouted to the motorist in complaint.
At this, the motorist came to Ranjit driving his car in reverse gear.
However, the motorist left the scene as people gathered around them.
Shortly after, the motorist came back with some other people in his car and a Bolero jeep.
They thrashed Ranjit who was still standing near his residential gate.
In addition, the assailants opened five rounds of fire in the air.
Ranjit has been admitted at Raj Polyclinic for necessary treatment.
Later, a group of people vandalised the house of one the alleged assailants at Tera Amudon Akham Leikai at around 11 same night.
It is reported that the vandalised house belongs to Keithellakpam Sorojini.
The group also damaged a number of vehicles including one i-20 car, two Maruti cars, one Suzuki Access, one Pleasure, one Kinetic Honda, one Enfield bullet and a Hero Honda motorcycle.
