Imphal, August 06 2019:
The JAC Against the Mysterious Death of Ningthoujam Babysana Chanu has asked the Government to come out with all the clues and facts it has gathered so far regarding the controversial death by 4 pm tomorrow (August 7) .
Taking strong exception to reports published in some sections of the media today that Babysana's case is a case of suicide, the JAC asked the Government whether investigation into the mysterious death has been completed or whether the investigation team is unable to establish any facts or clues.
The JAC went on to ask if the Government has learnt anything about the death of Babysana from the five individuals who are currently lodged in police custody for over 10 days.
If the State Government cannot come out with a convincing clarification to all these questions by 4 pm tomorrow, the first post mortem report would be assumed as fabricated.
Moreover, it would be assumed that the Government has been trying to destroy evidence and close the case to let go the culprits scot-free, said a press release issued by the JAC.
It then added that the next course of agitation would be further intensified.
