State logs 689 new cases, 13 deaths

Imphal, July 03 2021:
The state on Saturday recorded 13 fatalities and 689 new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 4443 samples tested, thus recording a positivity rate of 15.51 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 520 patients were discharged while the active caseload has reached 6126 out of which 2330 are in home isolation and 2165 in CHICs.
As of Friday night, 771 patients were admitted to different hospitals of which 298 are on oxygen support and 47 are on ventilator support.
CCCs have 950 patients with 73 of them on oxygen support.
According to official reports, the 689 new cases included 683 people (332 males & 351 females) from among the general population and 6 personnel of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) .
Their samples were tested at RIMS (22), JNIMS (72), District Hospitals (383) and other testing centres (212).The positive cases from among the general population are from Imphal East (138), Imphal West (247), Thoubal (62), Bishnupur (67), Kakching (31), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (90), Chandel (2), Senapati (10), Tengnoupal (11), Pherzawl (15), Jiribam (2), Noney (2) and Kangpokpi (4) .

The State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee reported 13 Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The district wise fatalities are Imphal West (4), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (1), Kakching (2), Kangpokpi (1) and Churachandpur (2) .
Five patients died at JNIMS, three at RIMS, two each at Raj Medicity & DH Churachandpur, and one at Shija Hospitals.
The cumulative number of deaths has climbed to 1188.The 520 patients who were discharged in the last 24 hours were from home isolation (201), RIMS (18), JNIMS (2), CCCs (119) and CHICs (180).The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 71,643 (general population - 67,789 and CAPF personnel - 3,854).Number of active cases is 6,126 (general population - 6,063 and CAPF personnel - 63) .
The recovery rate is 89.79 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 1627 D-type and 504 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities.
District hospitals and government institutions have 469D and 91B filled cylinders and stock distributions made in the last 24 hours were Bishnupur (116D,0B), Chandel (33D,8B) Churachandpur (54D,0B), Senapati (46D,0B), Thoubal (67D,27B), Ukhrul (30D,18B), Tamenglong (36D0B), Jiribam (48D,13B), Moreh (12D6B), Kamjong (3D,2B), Kangpokpi (3D,9B), Kakching (13D,15B), Pherzaw] (6D,2B), Noney (2D0B) and CCCs (328, 120B) .
Friday witnessed a record number of vaccinations with 23,583 individuals getting their jabs.
So far, 6,20,418 people have been vaccinated and 85,275 of them have received their second dose.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (25,059), Imphal East (15,856), Thoubal (6031), Churachandpur (5796), Kangpokpi (1792), Tamenglong (2148), Bishnupur (4586), Senapati (1405), Ukhrul (1487), Kakching (3612), Chandel (1187), Noney (577), Tengnoupal (786), Jiribam (753), Kamjong (452), and Pherzawl (134).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (421), Imphal East (308), Thoubal (113), Churachan-dpur (97), Kangpokpi (30), Tamenglong (11), Bishnupur (87), Senapati (5), Ukhrul (15), Kakching (68), Chandel (18), Noney (3), Tengnoupal (5), Jiribam (4), Kamjong (3) and Pherzawl (0) .
However, the figure does not match with data released by CMOs of some districts.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 23,088 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 21,916 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 2,95,108 tests per million population against the national average of 2,98,813 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.66 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, 4443 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 15.51 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate rose to 7.82 per cent.
