Senapati, April 18 2021:
PHE Minister Losii Dikho along with a team of officials including Engineers and architect visited the hilltop site at Dziidurei, Tunggam village bordering Nagaland under Paomata sub-division.
Despite its heights and poor connectivity, the team identified Dziidurei to create a potential site for drinking water source, agricultural irrigation purpose, tourism and importantly to felicitate Bumbee bucket operations by Helicopters during wildfire disaster.
The recent wildfire at tourist hotspot Dzukou valley provided opportunities and lessons to explore water bodies to minimize the distance for IAF choppers operations to collect water from nearby areas.
