Imphal, June 14:
The Food and Civil Supply Agents' Association of Senapati District Manipur has conveyed sincere gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Kesarwani and District Supply Officer RK Binoy, transportation contractor and his subordinate staff for their efforts to ensure that the rice component of AAY and BPL meant for the district reach the targeted people.
A press release issued by the Association informed that the AAY and BPL rice for the month of May have reached the Senapati district Hqs.
Meanwhile, the Government is taking up necessary and corrective measures to release the pending share of rice quota for the district from Sangaiprou godown, it said.
Decrying that supply of kerosene oil quota for the district is very irregular for a long time, it appealed to all concerned to assist in ensuing regular and fair supply of rice and kerosene.
It further appealed to all organisations both civil and underground not to cause any disturbance in the distribution of PDS items meant for the underprivileged sections of
the society.
