Dimapur, December 11:
The public meeting on "Naga unification" held under the aegis of the Sumi Hoho today while adopting three point resolution has appealed all Nagas to join the unification move initiated by certain leaders of the factions of NSCN and christened as the Government of the People's Republic of Nagaland/National Socialist Council of Nagaland (GPRN/NSCN).
The meeting held at Dimapur District Sports Complex (DDSC) today also issued stern warning against the Sumis (Semas) stating that any Sumi not joining the unification move would be ex-communicated from the tribe.
The meeting also resolved to extend full support to the five point resolution adopted by the Nagaland Gaon Buras (GBs) Federation and Dobashis (DBs) Association in Kohima.
They also lauded the GBs and DBs for bringing the Naga underground factions together and extending the inter factional ceasefire for a period of six months.
Further, the speakers in the meeting expressed that Nagas have suffered a lot and lost several precious lives because of the inter factional clashes and that it is high time "Naga national workers" should come under one roof as the target is also same.
The meeting organized by the Sumi Hoho was chaired by Rev.Pughoto Aye and Hukavi T.Yepthomi.
