AR intercepts three suspects in Kasong

Imphal, November 06 2020:
Based on credible intelligence Assam Rifles troops intercepted three individuals traveling in two Maruti Gypsy vehicles and recovered Rs.10.6 Lakhs cash.
The vehicles were intercepted at 1:30 AM on early morning of November 5 while moving from Yairipok to Namlee village.
Both were moving without any vehicle registration plates and the drivers did not have valid car documents.

On inspection of the vehicles approximately Rs 5 lakh were recovered from each vehicle.
The two individuals driving the vehicles were identified as Amos Athary and Thanglian Sengtong both residents of Somrai.
They were accompanied by Longjam Premjit Singh, resident of Yaripok.
The apprehended individuals, vehicles and Rs.10,60,400/- in cash were handed over to Police authorities at Kasom Khullen Police Station.
