Sadar Hills ADC Chairman feted

Sadar Hills ADC Chairman SH Seipu and his Council Members have been feted by the people residing in Nongmaiching foothills today.
A simple reception function was organised today at Thayong village community hall in honour of the ADC Chairman under the joint aegis of Thayong village and 23-Nongmaiching Constituency Development Committee.
On behalf of the organisers, social worker S Bosco Kom presented a traditional Kom shawl and a memento to SH Seipu.
Other Members of the Sadar Hills ADC including planning and development committee chairman Netkholen Chongloi and finance committee chairman Lunthang were also presented a memento each.
Speaking at the occasion, SH Seipu said that Thayong UJB School would be upgraded to the status of Junior High School and shortage teachers would be sent to the school within two days.
He further announced that plans are afoot to set up schools in villages of Nongmaiching constituency where there is no school.
A mini dam for irrigation purposes in Thayong area has also been included in the work programme, Seipu said.
He also presented red shawls to the village chiefs who attended the function in addition to presenting black-boards and other teaching materials to Thayong UJB School.
