Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) Employees' Association has strongly condemned the act of setting on fire a portion of the office of the Society by unidentified persons in the early morning of May 25.A meeting of the Association held at MACS office today has appealed to all concerned to come out with a explanation on the incident.
In a statement, Association general secretary M Jiten Singh said that the incident of setting fire at the office of MACS has caused serious impediment in implementation of HIV/AIDS control programme and this is really unfortunate not only for MACS but also for the entire State of Manipur.
Instead of giving any sort of hindrance, Jiten appealed to all the people and organisations to extend their co-operation and support in the HIV/AIDS control programme being carried out under the aegis of MACS.
