Denouncing the alleged highhandedness of security forces in the aftermath of yesterday's bomb blast at Yairipok, retail outlets dealing in pharmaceutical goods in that area began a five day shop closure agitation from yesterday.
The blast triggered by unidentified persons at near Yairipok Community Health Centre had caused injuries to a BSF personnel with the security force allegedly retaliating by targeting the CHC employees and pharmacists near the blast site.
The shop closure agitation is causing inconveniences to yairipok and people from the nearby hill areas, said sources.The CHC's OPD has also shut for two days thereby complicating the problem as patients from the economically weaker section crowd the CHC on normal days.
