Imphal, April 25 2012:
The Thadou Students' Association, Sadar Hills has urged the Chief Minister to induct one of the elected legislators from Sadar Hills in the cabinet in the interest of the public.
A statement issued by the president of TSA, Sadar Hills Lamminlun Singsit said that being unrepresented in the council of Ministers for the last eight years, Sadar Hills has been neglected in developmental activities causing many hardship to the people.
The students' body appealed the Chief Minister to induct a cabinet from elected representatives from Sadar Hills in order to bring about development in the area in line with other districts.
Stating that two out of three elected MLAs from Sadar Hills are from the Congress party to prove the people's faith in the leadership of O Ibobi, the students' body reasoned that it is a fit case for a cabinet berth for Sadar Hills.
