Govt urged to materialise enterpreneurs' welfare policy

The Manipur Chamber of Foreign Trade and Industry (MCFI) has urged the Government to materialise the eight resolutions adopted by MACFI during its recent workshop on enterprise development in Manipur.
Addressing media persons today at Hotel Excellency, Chairman of MACFI RK Ranjan said the MACFI in collaboration with Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) had organised a three-day workshop recently wherein eight welfare points for enterpreneurs were adopted.
He said the resolutions adopted during the workshop should be forwarded to the CM, concerned department, ICC, Manipur Commerce and Industries, National Small Industries Corporation and banks so that the points are translated into action.
Among others, the resolutions adopted during the recent workshop included identification of local resources based small and medium enterprises and promoting them under special schemes and projects.
Awareness of government industrial schemes and policies among the enterpreneurs, formulation of proper industrial policy, providing basic industrial infrastructure, assist in finding market avenue for local products, providing financial support, capitalising opportunities of South East Asian markets and preserving and promoting intellectual properties.
