Representatives of NH-37 Truck Owners' Association have left for Delhi to urge the Prime Minister to instruct the BRO to complete the construction of NH-37 before monsoon.
Talking to the media at its office located at Keishampat before leaving for Delhi, president of the association, Kh Inaoba said the BRO has been involved in the construction of the Highway since the last 40 years.
On several occasions, the BRO has assured to complete the construction work, but the efforts on their part is seemingly lacking, Inaoba said.
He further said that all the material needed for the construction work including machines are seen, but no work has been implemented.
He said the representatives of the association would pressurise the Prime Minister to give strict instructions to the BRO.
Inaoba also stated that a 30-minute documentary film on the condition of NH-37 and photographs compiled by the association would be screened before the PM.
He also urged all concerned not to impose bandh or blockade along the NHs.
He said that 39 trucks were destroyed during the blockade and counter-blockade period last year.
