Imphal, October 08:
Reminding of its memorandum submitted to the Education Minister on September 26 to address the problem of insufficient infrastructure and shortage of teaching staff in schools of Sadar Hills area by October, the Thadou Students' Association (TSA), Sadar Hills District Committee has decried the failure of the State Government to take up any positive action towards this end till date.
In a press release, the TSA urged the Education Minister to look into memorandum and take up necessary actions immediately.
It further warned that failure of the authority concerned to take up some concrete steps by October 10 will compelled the TSA to impose 48 hours bandh along NH 39 with effect from midnight of October 11.Saying that the Government will be held responsible for any untoward incident during the bandh, the student body added that the 48 hours bandh may be followed by economic blockade in case the Government continue to remain indifferent to its concerns even after the bandh.
