Imphal, October 08:
After the incident of killing one Bengali and one Muslim by the armed militants of Dima Halam Daogah (DHD-Black Widow) last Saturday, communal tension between the Dimasas and the two communities of Bengali and Muslim has been running high in Pailapool, Lakhipur sub-division of Cachar district of Assam, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
Consequently, many Dimasa settlers including traders from Pailapool areas have fled their homesteads fearing retaliation from the Bengalis and the Muslims.
Mention may be made that Samevan Sukhlabadaza (Bengali) and Raju Khan (Muslim) who were held hostages for a ransom of Rs 20 lakhs by the militants of DHD (BW) were shot dead last Saturday.
