Imphal, June 08: In case emergency should be declared, a specific period should be spelled out say six months at least.

H Poirei who allegedly did not have the knowledge that emergency may be extended after the expiry of the first phase of period was indulging in petty politics within the party to which Ksh was a willing cohort.

Disclosing that order issued by the party was forwarded to the KYKL, PREPAK and the UNLF, Major Nongthang as to why the same order for emergency was not forwarded to these three outfits.

Recalling that soon after emergency was declared, Poirei issued an order drafted by himself which was addressed to "dissolved CC members", Nongthang asked Poirei if he was not included among the dissolved members being a member of the CC.

Subsequent orders were issued with the address "suspended CC members", it informed while noting all the comrades were well aware that during emergency all the activities of the party may be concentrated in the hands of the president.

However, all press releases issued during emergency were signed by H Poirei as Information and Publicity Secretary.

The party's general secretary was also the convenor of both the finance committee and military affairs committee.

Even though it was the duty of the military affairs committee to promote cadres, Poirei in contravention of all the rules of the party, granted promotion to some chosen comrades in connivance with the president.

Had the organisational set-up of the outfit have enough room for democratic centralism, criticism and self-criticism, Ksh Laba and H Poirei should have retired without taking any post with them.

Parroting some impressive words like 'in practice', 'on contradiction', Maoism, Leninism, dialectical materialism, historical materialism etc will never be able to sway dedicated comrades, Nongthang asserted.

Expressing surprise on the clarification that there was no case related to selling out 15 heavy weapons by the president, Nongthang asserted that the issue originated from the UNLF and the whole matter was known to the highest authority of the UNLF and KYKL.

It further questioned whether the alleged plot of H Poirei and Ksh Laba to turn the party into their family affair a true revolution.

Further advising the duo to shed arrogance, vanity and to be kind and polite, Nongthang confided that this would not followed by any further press release.

He further invited them to show their true identities by deeds not by words.
