Imphal, June 11 2016 :
National Students' Union of India's (NSUI) has slammed the BJP Government at the Centre for not fulfilling the tall and loud promises they made during their election campaign two years back.
In a statement, P Bankimchandra Meitei, NSUI Manipur State president stated that Manipur State BJP Unit always make false allegations against the Congress Party without doing any ground reality check and is not playing the role of constructive opposition party.
The functions of BJP Government at the Centre nowadays is to cut the ribbons and inaugurate the already constructed or nearly completed projects taken up the previous UPA I and II Government and take credit with full publicity.
PM Narendra Modi promised to bring back all the black money from foreign countries within 90 days if he comes to power and distribute Rs 15 lakh to each and every citizen, but this has never materialised till date and this shows that Narendra Modi only gives promises, but never fulfils them.
The Manipur State BJP must not spread any false propaganda to the public just for their political gains.
If they really love the people and their State, they can do a lot of positive steps because their Government is ruling at the Centre, the statement added.
