Five more gold came Manipur's way, two each from Sepak Takraw and Taekwondo and another one from cycling.
In the Sepak Takraw women's final, the State team got the better of Assam in straight sets (1st Regu 21-12, 21-17, 2nd Regu 21-11, 21-7) while in the men's category Manipur set aside the challenge of host Andhra Pradesh 2-0 (1st Regu 21-9, 21-17, 2nd Regu 21-17, 21-10).M Sonumani Devi clinched the gold in the heavy weight category in Taekwondo while Lalrokim also from Manipur took the bronze in the same category.
Another gold came Manipur's way through Ranibala in the bantam weight category while Santosh Kangabam won the bronze in the men's section in the same category.
In Fin weight Amarjit Singh took the bronze.
Punjab quartet clinched the gold in the 60 km road team time trial for men while Manipur women survived anxious moments before winning the 60km mass start team event gold in cycling events of the 32nd National Games here today.
Both the races were reduced by ten kilometers due to paucity of time.
The women's 60km mass start event saw Andhra Pradesh survive a protest by Manipur team management.
The protest was against the 2nd placed Premlata V Surban who was accused of wearing the wrong chest number during the race.
After the technical officials confirmed that the chest number of the cyclist was checked and found correct before the start of the event, the Jury of appeal overruled the objection.
However, the event itself generated great interest as the top three cyclists were going neck and neck.
Close to the finish line, Manipur's O Binakumari surged ahead and just 0.003 sees separated Binakumari (1:55.38.190 sees) and Premlata V Surban (1:55.38.193 sees).
Another Andhra cyclist V Ishwarya claimed the brunze medal.
Punjab's Hitraj Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Sukhjinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh were off to a flying start and took a commendable lead before covering the 60km distance in 1hr 21min 41.350secs for the gold.
