Senapati, December 14 2016:
Mass rallies will be organised in all the "four Naga district head-quarters" on December 15, 2016 under the banner of the United Naga Council (UNC) in protest against the creation of 7 new districts "without consulting all stakeholders" .
The rallies will also demand imposition of President's Rule in the "present" State of Manipur and to expedite Indo-Naga peace process at the earliest and bring it to its logical conclusion.
The rallies will begin simultaneously from 11 am.
The rallies will conclude with the submission of memoranda to the Governor of Manipur through the respective Deputy Commissioners.

The United Naga Council (UNC) said today that it came into being to defend and protect "ancestral homeland, identity, history, culture, tradition, custom and time honored institution of the Nagas".
The UNC also said that it is a civil organization based on the democratic principles that honour all the communities and nationalities living elsewhere.
"We expect respect and honour as we respect others," the Naga body added.
The UNC reiterated that the ongoing indefinite economic blockade including banning the construction of Trans Asian Railways is being imposed as the Government of Manipur had utterly failed to honour and uphold the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed between the Government of Manipur and Naga people as well as the written assurance given by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on the issue.
"The Naga people will uphold the established position on land and peoples' right at all cost," it asserted.
The UNC stated that it is a civil organization pursuing its rightful cause democratically, and "it is very unfortunate to accuse UNC volunteers of using fire arms but stage managed to tarnish the image of the UNC" .
The UNC appealed "one and all" not to hurl such baseless and unfounded allegations in future.
The UNC also strongly condemned the volunteers of the counter economic blockade "who had beaten the driver of Tata Sumo PG Kagungai black and blue and burning down of the vehicle" between Khumbong and Ngairangbam in the evening of December 13 .
