Imphal, November 10 2019:
The State Government team led by Chief Minister N Biren has asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure that the final solution to the Naga peace talk does not harm any community of Manipur.
The team left Imphal for New Delhi on Friday to urge both the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister not to finalise any solution to the Naga peace talks which goes in the interest of a single community.
The team comprising Chief Minister N Biren, Speaker Y Khemchand, Works Minister Th Biswajit, Education Minister Th Radheshyam, Lok Sabha MP RK Ranjan and Rajya Sabha MP K Bhabananda held a meeting with Amit Shah at 11 am today.

The team made it clear that a final solution to the protracted Indo-Naga peace process would be most welcomed by the Government of Manipur, its people as well as civil society organisations.
After Government of India's Interlocutor RN Ravi, NSCN-IM and NNPGs held the last round of talk on October 31, people's apprehension that the Government of India may not take into consideration interests of all the communities of the State has been multiplying, the State team told the Union Home Minister.
On the best possible solutions to the Indo-Naga peace process, Biren and his team highlighted several points which take into account interests of all the communities of Manipur, conveyed a source.
After listening to what Biren and his team highlighted, Amit Shah stated that the solution to the Indo-Naga peace process would not be necessarily in the way the Government of India desires.
Before a final solution is sealed, Government of India would consult all civil society organisations of the North East, particularly those of Manipur and all their concerns would be taken into account, the source informed as stated by the Union Home Minister.
Amit Shah further assured the State team that the final solution to the Naga peace process would not hurt Manipuri people's interests, said the source.
As all issues and concerns have been discussed threadbare with the Union Home Minister this morning, the team led by N Biren would come back to Imphal tomorrow.
