One Assam Rifles personnel was killed while ten others sustained injuries in the third bomb attack within this week.
Meanwhile, PLA have claimed responsibility for the latest bomb attack.
The first two bomb attacks have been already claimed by the UNLF and PLA respectively.
On September 5, a scooter fitted bomb exploded at Keishampat in which two Assam Rifles personnel were injured while on September 8 a bomb exploded near Tiddim ground injuring am Army personnel and one civilian.
A powerful bomb planted at Kangshoibi Thong along Moirang-Kumbi road exploded at about 6 am today killing one AR personnel and injuring ten others.
A reliable source informed The Sangai Express that one JCO, a Naib Subedar was killed while ten other personnel were injured, four of them critically.
Their condition is stated to be stable now.

The deceased Assam Rifles personnel has been identified as Naib Subedar Srinivas Rao while the ten injured jawans have been named as Naib Subedar G Pandey, Havildar Harish Chand, Rifleman Kishan, Havildar Devender Singh, Rifleman Narayan Singh, Rifleman Goutam, Rifleman Kailash, Rifleman Vipin Khuman, Rifleman Harjeet Singh and Rifleman Ph Shanta.
A police source informed that the bomb was planted at the southern side of a culvert built across Kangshoibi Khong (canal), about 3 Kms from Kumbi police station towards Moirang.
33 AR troops posted at Kumbi post travelling in two Gypsys were passing troops of the same AR unit posted at Moirang Khunou who were patrolling on foot when the bomb exploded.
Altogether seven AR personnel including those travelling in Gypsy (hard top) and patrolling on foot sustained injuries in the explosion.
Another team of 33rd AR on ROP duty were also present near the blast site.
It is being speculated that the bomb was a powerful remote-controlled IED.
Some portions of the culvert were ripped apart by the impact of the explosion.
Reporters observed blood drops, uprooted shrubs, grass and combat dress strewn all around at the blast site.
All the ten injured personnel were rushed to Red Shield Division hospital at Leimakhong.
Four among them who sustained critical injuries were airlifted to Leimakhong hospital in a military helicopter.
Three other personnel are undergoing treatment in critical condition in ICU.
Three others have been admitted in the hospital's general ward.
Notably 33rd Assam Rifles is under the command of 57 Mountain Division.
