Col CK Nayudu Trophy Plate : Manipur go down by 7 wickets to Nagaland

Imphal, January 27 2026:
Manipur went down by 7 wickets to Nagaland in their fourth tie of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy Plate that was held from January 23 to 26 at Gujarat College Cricket Ground 'A', Ahmedabad .
It was the third loss for Manipur in the U23 tournament after settling for a draw with Arunachal Pradesh.
Nagaland won the toss and elected to bat first in this match before posting 411 runs in the first innings.
In response, Manipur could gather only 194 runs in the first innings.
Asked to follow on, Manipur posted 308 runs for all wickets down to amass 502 runs and gave Nagaland a target of 92 runs.
Nagaland then eased to 95 in 22.3 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Yugandhar knocked 109 off 226 and Samir Ali struck 52 off 133 to lead Nagaland to 411 in the first innings.
Arjun 49, Neizekho 43, Kelhousilie Zaputou 38 and Mughavi Sumi 37 also made significant contributions in an innings that saw Ringku Kangujam (3/75), Naorem Dibak (2/51), Sanjit (2/69) and Kalyan (2/79) sharing 9 wickets.
For Manipur, Heisnam Manikanta hit a half century (63 off 108; 11 fours) in the first innings as Aziz Mirza 34 and Vivekananda 25 followed suit.
Odilemba (2/47), Anil Gupta (2/30), Neizekho (2/19) and Arjun (2/19) led the Nagaland bowling attack in the first innings of Manipur.
In the second innings, Manikanta was close to scoring a ton as he was dismissed by Odilemba on 223-ball 94.Odilemba also picked the wicket of Manipur's Hussain who was one run away from completing his half century (49 off 54) to return with the best bowling figures of 4/75 .
Neizekho also claimed three wickets (3/41) as Kelhousilie Zaputou and Anil Gupta picked a wicket apiece.
Chasing 92 for the victory, Keneizetuo Rio 29 not out off 71 balls and Yugandhar 24 not out off 21 produced an unbeaten stand of 33 runs for the fourth wicket to take Naland to the winning 95 .
