YWU cruise past SDO into DSA Trophy semis

Imphal, September 22 2024: Both H Kumarjit and I Priyobrata netted a brace to steer YWU (Kakching) to a resounding 5-1 win over SDO (Pallel) on their way to the semifinals of the 18th DSA Trophy Invitation Football Tournament 2024 on Sunday.

Kumarjit opened the scoring deep into first-half added time, giving YWU the initial advantage.

SDO drew level through S Somez in the 60th minute, but Kumarjit quickly restored YWU's lead with his second goal in the 62nd minute.

Priyobrata then added two rapid-fire goals in the 70th and 72nd minutes to further extend YWU's dominance.

Th Tomba sealed the victory with YWU's fifth goal in the 74th minute, ensuring a comfortable progression to the semifinals.
