ASMITA Kickboxing League kicks off in Thoubal district

Imphal, August 20 2025: The ASMITA Kickboxing League, organised by the Thoubal District Amateur Association of Kickboxing Organisation and the United Association of Kickboxing Organisation Manipur, got underway on Wednesday at Khongjom Sapam Maning Community Hall, Thoubal.

The event saw the participation of over 200 players from across the state, competing in nine age categories.

The opening ceremony was attended by Langathel Zilla Parishad member Thingbaijam Ibomcha and Moirangthem Deven, a representative of the Youth Affairs and Sports Department, among others.

The league is being conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, as part of the "Khelo India" initiative.
