YUCC, YWC cruise into MNCA Men's U-19 Trophy quarterfinals

YUCC and YWC both earned a smooth passage into the quarterfinals of the 3rd MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy, following their resounding victories on Saturday.
YUCC ensured their place in the last eight with a commanding 7-wicket triumph over AMCA in their pre-quarterfirial match at Moijing Public Ground.
YUCC chased down a modest target with ease after a stellar bowling display restricted AMCA to just 63 runs in 16.1 overs.
Loitongbam Joychand was the star for YUCC, claiming four wickets for a mere six runs, while Rahulkumar Ningthoujam chipped in with two scalps.
AMCA's innings never gained momentum, with only Moichingmayum Mohammad Anash (20 off 16) offering brief resistance.
In reply, YUCC reached 67/3 in 17.1 overs, courtesy of steady contributions from M Amitkiyon (20) and Laishram Bidyashwor Singh (19).Moichingmayum Md Yakin took two wickets for AMCA, but it wasn't enough to prevent a seven-wicket defeat.
YWC, meanwhile, crushed KASC by 8 wickets at Lairenjam Public Ground to advance to the quarterfinals.
Batting first, KASC were bundled out for 63 in 19.3 overs, with Sorokhaibam Dallish Singh wreaking havoc, taking six wickets for 26 runs.
Pukhrambam Roshan Khuman (2/6) and Yumnam Achouba (1/16) provided crucial Support.
YWC's openers made light work of the chase, reaching 64/2 in just 10.5 overs.
Sorokhaibam Thoungamba Singh (24* off 36) held firm, while Seram Tondonsana (13 off 11) and Yumnam Kumar (13* off 15) ensured an eight-wicket win.
