State observes Kho Kho Day

Imphal, June 30 2025: As in other parts of the world, National & International Kho Kho Day was observed by various district associations of Manipur on Monday.

In a release, Manipur Amateur Kho Kho Association (MAKKA) honorary general secretary M Madhusudon Singh informed that the observance was held at BASU, Khangabok, PYDC, Khangabok Cherapur, SENDYC, Salungpham and SCEASDO, Heirok in Thoubal district.

PRSC Ground, Pourabi, and SADA Ground, Sanjenbam in Imphal East district; ASKKA ground, Awang Sekmai and ALMYA ground, Awang Leikinthabi in Imphal West district; Kumbi Sandhong and YGC ground, Chingmei in Bishnupur district; and SHGIRCS, Pangantabi and WESC, Wabagai in Kakching district.

The observance was marked by conduct of kho kho matches, raising awareness on benefits of kho kho among players and public, it added.
