Imphal, February 26 2025:
THAU delivered a ruthless performance to thrash FORCE by 214 runs in Wednesday's action of the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy 2024-25 at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
Electing to bat first, THAU amassed an imposing 269/2 in their 50 overs, anchored by a sublime unbeaten century from Kalpana Keisham.
Kalpana's masterclass of 109' off 116 balls, featuring elegant drives and sharp running, propelled her side after early contributions from openers Robeni Usham (65) and Leithoi Changammayum (46) .
The pair laid a solid 111-run opening stand before FORCE's bowlers briefly struck twice, but Kalpana and Monica Ningthoujam (16*) steered THAU to a daunting total.
FORCE's reply crumbled spectacularly as they were skittled for a paltry 55 in just 24.4 overs, undone by THAU's disciplined bowling attack.
Monica Ningthoujam starred with the ball, claiming 3 scalps, while Pungyambam Milky picked up 2 wickets.
Thoithoibi Ahongshangbam, Milan Chanu Yambem, Wangkhem Nganbi Chanu, and Konjengbam Nonibala chipped in with a wicket apiece to dismantle FORCE's line-up.
Only Sadiya Sahani (15) offered fleeting resistance in an otherwise dismal batting display, with five batters dismissed for single-digit scores and the other five for ducks.
