AMFA asks district associations, academies to nominate players

Imphal, June 21 2025: The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has announced preparations for the forthcoming Sub-Junior Boys and Girls National Football Championship 2025-26, initiating the process of squad selection across affiliated bodies.

For the boys' category, AMFA has directed all district associations to nominate 10 players each, complete with their respective playing positions.

Affiliated football academies are similarly instructed to submit five players each with position details.

Additionally, all shortlisted sub-junior boys will be required to undergo the TW3 test, a standard age verification procedure.

For the girls' category, 10 clubs - namely Eastern Sporting Union (ESU), Kangchup Road Young Physical and Sports Association (KRYPHSA), Youth Welfare Club (YWC) Langthabal, YWC Thambalkhong, Imphal Football Club, Manipur University Football Academy (MUFA), Khuman Football Academy, Women's Football Academy (WFA) Kakching, Ideal Club and Sporting Association (ICSA), and All Manipur Muslim Association (AMMA) - have been instructed to forward 10 players each, along with their respective playing positions.

To be eligible, all players must have been bom between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2013 .

The names of the selected players must be submitted to the AMFA office, now located at the Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, no later than June 26, 2025 .
