Thoubal, October 20 2025: DLC, Heirok defeated Tenta FC yesterday to seal the title of the open football tournament organised by 66 Bn CRPF in association with the Sports Authority of India under the Khelo India initiative.

The closing function of the tournament organised under the supervision of Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF was attended by IGP Ranjendra Narayan Das; DIGP Range Huidrom Premjit; Commdt 66 Bn CRPF Anup Kumar Sahu and Second in Command, Sudhanshu Kumar as presidium members.

In the final match of the 16-team knock-out tournament, DLC and Tentha FC were locked at 1-1 till the regulation time before DLC emerged 5-4 winners on penalties.

The winners, runners up, other participants, individual prize winners including Tentha FC's E Deepak (best player), Nongthoujam Mahesh (best scorer), and DLC's Pointing Meitei (best goalkeeper), were feted with medals, certificates and trophies in the presence of presidium members.
