AR organises friendly volleyball match

Imphal, July 20 2025: A friendly volleyball match was organised by the Assam Rifles with local youth of Poi village as part of its outreach efforts to promote sports and foster community engagement.

The match saw the participation of 15 local youths, cheered on by enthusiastic villagers who gathered to support the event.

The spirited contest aimed to encourage sporting talent among the youth while reinforcing values of teamwork and mutual respect.

The initiative also served to strengthen the bond between the security forces and the local community, highlighting the positive role of sports in promoting physical activity, unity, and cooperation in remote areas, a PRO IGAR (S) release said.
