2nd Premier League: Bobosana nets brace to help AFC beat AMOFA

Imphal, June 19 2025: Konthoujam Bobosa-na's brilliant brace powered Angtha FC to a dominant 3-1 victory against AMOFA in Thursday's 2nd Premier League encounter at the Sekmai Koujengleima Ground.

It was a frustrating first half for Angtha FC, as despite controlling proceedings, they were unable to convert their dominance into goals.

However, the team emerged with renewed intensity after the break, breaking the deadlock in the 64th minute when Bobosana slotted home the opener.

The momentum stayed with Angtha as Tensubam Brucelee Meitei extended their lead just five minutes later, making it 2-0 .

Bobosana then completed his double from the penalty spot in the 76th minute, putting the game beyond AMOFA's reach.

Despite a late consolation goal from Yumnam Harison in the 80th minute, AMOFA couldn't mount a comeback as Angtha FC defended resolutely to seal all three points.

The win strengthens Angtha's position in the league, while AMOFA will look to bounce back in their next fixture.

Bobosana's standout performance earned him well-deserved praise, capping off a commanding display by his team.
