CDCC overpower SCCC by 8 wickets in MNCA T-20 Trophy

Imphal, June 15 2025: CDCC secured an emphatic 8-wicket win over SCCC in Sunday's league clash of the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).

Opting to field first, CDCC restricted SCCC to a modest 60/6 in 8 overs, before chasing down the target in just 6.1 overs.

SCCC's innings never gained momentum, with only three batsmen reaching double figures.

Lishan Meitei Khaidem top-scored with a brisk 23 off 13 balls, while Bikash Singh contributed 18 off 11 deliveries.

However, CDCC's bowlers kept the pressure on, with Kshetrimayum Robert and Mutum lodiba claiming two wickets apiece.

Mandingbam Surjit Singh was particularly economical, conceding just 6 runs in his 2 overs and taking a crucial wicket.

In reply, CDCC made light work of the target, thanks to a blistering unbeaten 46 off 22 balls from Konjengbam Monish, who struck six fours and two sixes at a staggering strike rate of 209.09 .

Md Ataur Rahaman (7) and Mutum Jodiba (7*) provided brief support, but it was Monish's fireworks that sealed the victory with 83 balls to spare.

For SCCC, Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum and Khaidem Joyraj Meitei took a wicket each, but their efforts were in vain.
