Bishnupur, August 14 2025: Oinam Nongpoknganba Meitei, a young boxer from Oinam Mayai Leikai Ward No.8, was felicitated by the Oinam Kendra Development Organisation on Thursday for his gold medal victory at the 4th Sub-Junior Under-15 Boys and Girls National Boxing Championship (Aug 5-13, 2025) .

The felicitation event, held at Joysana Retreat Multipurpose Hall in Oinam, was attended by Yumnam Joykumar Singh, chief engineer of the PWD, who presented a gift to the gold medallist in recognition of his achievement.

Nongpoknganba won his yellow metal in the 43-46 category.

During the event, Oinam Municipal Council chairperson M Manglemba Singh, All Manipur Traditional Belt Wrestling Association secretary general Ch Ibohal, coach M Shyamchandra, and assistant coach M Man-glemba Singh Nongpokngan-ba extended best wishes to Nongpoknganba for his future success.
