W Anganba, W Aditya emerge as champions of champions at State arm sports trials

Imphal, July 13 2025: W Anganba and W Aditya stole the spotlight at the "5th State-Level Arm Sports Championship cum National Trial Selection 2025", clinching the titles of "Champion of Champions" in the junior boys' and senior men's categories respectively.

Organised by the Arm-Sport Association, Manipur under the aegis of the Arm-Sport Federation of India, the event served as a crucial platform for selecting contenders for the upcoming national trials.

W Anganba emerges junior boys' champion of champions in 5th State Level Arm Sports C'ship

The championship witnessed a strong turnout across multiple weight divisions.

In the junior boys' category, winners included Ronald Brahmacharimayum (55 kg), B Lenin Sharma (63 kg), W Lanchenba (70 kg), W Anganba (78 kg), and Lukesh Laishram (78+ kg) .

Notable runners-up were W Manglemba Meitei, Neerajkumar A, K Maxson, Y Hemchand, and Kangleikhamba Th, with third-place finishes going to Thongamaba Yanglem, Kh Rajesh Singh, Kh Pangkajpa Singh, and Parwaraj A .

In the junior girls' division, top honours went to L Gujalti Chanu (55 kg), Ningthoujam Tina (70 kg), and Kh Thasana Chanu (63 kg female junior) .

Other podium finishers included Kh Sakira Chanu and M Jileshori.

In the masters (open) category, Mutum Rama Meitei secured first place, while Budha Kh and N Romesh Singh claimed first and second positions respectively in the masters ultra (open) category.
