Imphal, September 11 2026: Manipur capped the diving campaign in the 42nd Sub Junior & 52nd Junior National Aquatic (Water Polo & Diving) Championships with a haul of 12 medals including 3 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals.

The championships hosted by Madhya Pradesh at IDA Swimming Pool, Indore from September 7 will conclude tomorrow.

Arubam Benhar produced a dominating performance in the Group II Boys' (14 to 15 yrs) High Board and 3 Mr Springboard competitions to grab two gold medals as Hirom Bronson bagged the other gold medal in the 1 m springboard.

Bronson also bagged a silver medal in the 3 m springboard event for Group II Boys before securing another silver medal with Shaikhom Korounganba in the 3 m springboard synchronised event.

The duo also won a bronze medal in the synchronised high board event.

In the Group III Boys' (12-13 yrs) segment, Chakpram Tomthin claimed three medals including one silver medal in the 3 m springboard event and a bronze medal apiece in the 1 m springboard and high board events.

Ponsubham Champion also settled for a bronze medal in the 3 m springboard event as Lanchenbi Rajkumari claimed a bronze medal in the Group III girls' 1 m springboard event.
