Three state Wushu coaches attend Asian training course in China

Imphal, July 10 2025: Three Wushu coaches from Manipur participated in the Asian Coaches and Judges Course organised by the Wushu Federation of Asia, held from June 27 to July 3, 2025 in Jilin Province, China.

The high-level course was designed to enhance the expertise of Wushu coaches and judges from across the Asian region.

It aimed to familiarise participants with technical theories, training methodologies, competition rules, and sports psychology, thereby improving the standard of Wushu in their respective countries.

The three representatives from Manipur who took part in the training were Niroda Naorem, Binapani Thongram, and Pradipkumar Langoljam.

Niroda Naorem, a resident of Moirangthem Leikai, Kakching, currently serves under the superintendent of police, Kakching, in the Manipur Police Department.

She is also recognised as a national judge and national coach in Wushu.

Binapani Thongram hails from Academy Road, Nongmeibung, and serves as a physical education teacher under the District Youth Affairs and Sports Office (DYASO), Imphal East.

She holds credentials as an international Wushu judge.

Pradipkumar Langoljam, from Bamol Leikai, Mangjil in Imphal East, is an accredited international coach and judge in Wushu.
