WFA thrash SSU 5-0 as Raengdai edge ABA in 2nd Premier League

WFA delivered a dominant performance on Tuesday, overwhelming SSU 5-0 in a one-sided encounter, while FC Raengdai ground out a hard-fought 1-0 victory over ABA in the day's Premier League fixtures at SAI Ground, Takyel.
Laishram Premjit stole the show, netting a superb hat-trick in WFA's emphatic win.
He opened the scoring in the 9th minute, setting the tone for a commanding display.
Yumnam Banty then doubled the lead deep into first-half stoppage time (45+1') with a coolly taken penalty.
After the interval, Shougrakpam Netrajit extended WFA's advantage just three minutes into the second half (48'), before Premjit took centre stage once more.
The forward struck again in the 57th minute before completing his treble from the penalty spot in the 78th minute, capping off a ruthless team performance.
Meanwhile, FC Raengdai secured a narrow 1-0 win over ABA, courtesy of Thoudam Naresh's second-half strike.
Following a goalless first period, Naresh broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute - a goal that ultimately proved decisive in a tightly contested affair.
Meanwhile, RAU and Angtha FC played out an evenly contested 1-1 draw in a tightly fought encounter.
Ningthoujam Bikash broke the deadlock for RAU in the 36th minute; giving his side the lead heading into halftime.
However, Angtha FC fought back in the second half, with Th D Thangadar converting a crucial penalty in the 55th minute to secure a hard-earned point for his team.
