232 (M) CRPF Bn organised Kabaddi tournament begins

Imphal, September 07 2026: The kabaddi tournament for female participants organised by the 232 (M) Bn CRPF under Khelo India's Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation initiative began today at SAI, NERC Takyel playground.

The tournament was formally opened in the presence of Padma Shri and Arjuna Awardee N Kunjarani; Th Debajani, Dc and Dett Commander; Aiswarya Joy M, AC; Neena Sharma, AC as dignitaries.

The tournament, participated by 9 teams, aims to encourage women, particularly young women and members of the local community, to actively participate in sports and physical activities while spreading the message of peace, unity, discipline, fitness and social harmony.

The podium finishers of the 2-day tournament will be feted with Rs 10,000; Rs 7,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively, said a press release issued by 232 (M) Bn CRPF .
