Mixed bag for state in KI Youth Games 2025

Manipur had mixed bag on the second day of Khelo India Youth Games 2025 in Bihar on Monday.
In Judo, Manipur secured two medals with Athoibi Yanglem wresting the silver medal in girls' 63 kg completion and Kh Monika settling for the bronze in the same category.
Athoibi Yanglem lost to Delhi's Stanjin Daechan by Ippon in the final bout, while in the semi-final match Kh Monika lost to eventual gold medallist Stanzin Daechan by Ippon.
In 81 kg (boys') bronze medal match, Huidrom Brainy lost to Gujarat's Mit Parekh by Ippon.
Meanwhile, in Sepak Takraw (Regu Event) Manipur Boys' Team defeated Maharashtra 3-0 in the first match and Uttar Pradesh (3-0) in the second.
The girls' team also beat Delhi and Odisha by identical 3-0 margins in the first and second match, respectively.
On the other hand, Sorokhaibam Melody Devi lost in the Archery Recurve Girls' quarterfinal.
Meanwhile, Manipur boys suffered defeat in volleyball while the girls' football team opened their campaign with a 3-0 defeat of Andhra Pradesh.
