Kakching Subroto: Langmeidong, PR schools crowned champs

Imphal, May 27 2025: Langmeidong Hr Sec School (Langmeidong) clinched the U-17 boys' title, while PR English School (Kakching) secured the U-15 boys' crown in the Kakching district's 64th Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2025 .

The event was held at Lamjao playground.

In a dominant display, Langmeidong Hr Sec School secured a resounding 6-0 victory over Pole Star School (Wabagai) in the U-17 final on Tuesday, with Yuki Singh stealing the spot-light by netting a quickfire hat-trick.

Yuki opened the scoring in the 6th minute, doubled the lead just two minutes later, and completed his treble in the 9th minute.

H Srinivash extended the advantage to 4-0 in the 15th minute, before Sh Manithoiba added a fifth in the 57th minute.

Srimvash then sealed the emphatic win with his second goal of the match.

The U-15 final was a tightly contested affair, with PR English School overcoming an early setback to defeat Kakching Model High School 2-1 .

Mangai gave Model School the lead within the first minute, but Nganthoiba equalised for PR School in the 5th minute.

The match remained finely balanced until Y Adison struck in the 51st minute, securing a hard-fought victory for his team.
