S Ruslam claims UIBFF Pro Card at 5th Mr & Ms Asia Federation Championship

Imphal, February 26 2025: S Ruslam has made a name for himself by becoming the state's first fitness athlete to secure a coveted UIBFF Pro Card at the 5th Mr and Ms Asia Federation Championship.

The prestigious event, organised by the United Intercontinental Bodybuilding Fitness Federation (UIBFF), was held in New Delhi on February 15-16 .

Hailing from Phoudel in Thoubal district, Ruslam delivered a stellar performance across multiple categories.

He clinched a gold medal in the -65kg bodybuilding division, followed by a silver in the men's physique category.

His crowning moment came when he triumphed as the champion of champions in the classic bodybuilding event, earning him the UIBFF Pro Card - a distinction that grants him eligibility to compete at premier international bodybuilding tournaments.

Ruslam, son of Md Anwar Hussein and Thoibi, dedicated his historic win to the unwavering support of his family and coaches.

Manipur's team saw additional commendable performances.

Konthoujam Rishikanta and Heisnam Ambika Devi secured fifth-place finishes in their respective categories.

Upon their return, the six-member state team was honoured by the Manipur Bodybuilding Fitness Federation during a felicitation ceremony at Oinam Mamang Leikai on Wednesday.

The event was attended by team coach Ankit, manager O Bikramjit, federation advisor A Arunkumar, and M Chudamani, who lauded the athletes for raising the state's profile on the continental stage.
