SSU beat SU 1-0 for third win as ABA hold RAU in 3rd Premier League

Imphal, October 25 2025: Athletic Brother's Association (ABA), Kshetrigao fought back to hold Rising Athletic Union (RAU), Lairikyengbam Leikai to a 2-2 draw as Southern Sporting Union (SSU), Singjamei beat Sagolband United (SU) by a slender 1-0 margin for the third win in the ongoing 3rd Premier League.

In the 24th match of the 15-team top flight tournament staged at SSC ground in Sekta, Ningthoujam Dhanaraj scored in the second minute to put ABA ahead but RAU rode on Laishram Lucky to equalise the margin in the 66th minute.

RAU overturned the lead when Md Yunus Khan, who subbed in for Ningthoujam Manimatum after the restart, scored in the 81st minute.

And when RAU looked to seal all three points, Md Wazid Khan scored for ABA two minutes from time to draw level once again.

Although the two sides got 7-minute stoppage time, they failed to find the winner.

Later in the second match, SSU beat SU for their third win in four matches courtesy of Wahengbam Jack's 10 minute strike.
