2nd Premier League: UDO drub AFA 3-0 as FCR, WAFA settle for 1-1 draw

Imphal, May 20 2025: UDO swept aside Asufii FA as FC Raengdai and WAFA shared the spoils in Tuesday's fixtures of the 2nd Premier League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

In a Group B clash, UDO scored a resounding 3-0 win over Asufii FA with Okram Rohit, Salam Dhiren Meitei and Monoharmayum Sanathoi all finding the net.

Rohit opened the scoring in the 10th minute, capitalising on an early opportunity, before Dhiren doubled the lead in the 27th with a composed finish.

UDO controlled proceedings, heading into the break with a comfortable two-goal advantage.

The second half saw Asufii FA dig in defensively, but UDO's persistence paid off when Sanathoi sealed the win with a clinical strike in the 88th minute.

In a tightly contested Group A clash, FC Raengdai and WAFA played out an entertaining 1-1 draw.

Laishram Bikramjit broke the deadlock for Raengdai in the 29th minute, slotting home after a well-worked move.

They held firm until halftime, but WAFA emerged with renewed intensity after the interval.

Their pressure told in the 64th minute when Yumnam Banty fired home the equaliser, setting up a tense finale.

Both sides pushed for a winner, but neither could find a decisive breakthrough, leaving them to settle for a point apiece.
