Governor's Taekwondo Cup: Eight gold medals decided on Day 2

Imphal, July 18 2025: Eight gold-medal matches across various weight categories in the cadet competition were decided on the second day of the 18th Governor's Taekwondo Cup 2025 at the Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium on Friday.

In the cadet boys' U-61 kg category, Khumanthem Lanchenba (LTA) won the gold medal after defeating Raischa Pukhrambam (UTA) in the final, while Lourembam Henba Meitei (LTA) triumphed over Takhellambam Yaiphaba (SAI) in their U-65 kg summit clash.

The cadet boys' U-41 kg event saw Saikhom Imoba Singh (Thoubal) defeat Soibam Biraj Singh (UTA) to claim the gold medal, while Leiphrak-pam Bronson Meitei (TTS) and Gotimayum Anuranjan Sharma (NSA) took bronze medals.

In the cadet girls' competition, Lanchenbi Abujam (NSA) won the U-55 kg event after defeating Nishita Ningthoujam (TTA) in the final.

Loktongbam Tania (TTS) and Thiyam Tristy (LFC) both secured bronze medals.

Delfina Rajkumari (IM-RTA) shone in the U-59 kg category, claiming the gold medal, while Ngangbam Sonia (NSA) took silver.

Rutika Konjangbam (LFC) and Seliza Naoroibam (UTA) completed the podium.

In the over-59 kg category, Abenao Takhellambam (UTA) prevailed against Sapam Bidyashree (UTA) in the final, with bronze medals going to Kritiva Thangjam (ASTA) and Loitongbam Dolika (UTA) .

The U-44 kg final saw An-jilika Irengbam (TTS) defeat Irungbam Sarah (KTA), while Pheiroijam Taniya (PTA) and Tejashwini Maibam (NSA) claimed the bronze.

In the U-37 kg category, Ashley Koijam (LFC) overcame Mutum Thoinu (IMRTA) in their gold-medal bout, with Huidrom Malemnganbi (NSA) and Thokchom Lingjelthoibi (NSA) earning bronze.
