Imphal, May 18 2025: Sarit-Sarak Association Manipur (SSAM) today accorded a warm felicitation to the State players who represented Manipur and brought home medals from the 2nd National Sarit-Sarak Championship 2025 in a solemn function held at the office of Eastern Thang-Ta Organisation in Tangkham.

Notably Manipur returned as the overall team champions on 243 points from 45 gold and 6 silver medals at the championship that was held from April 17 to 20 last at Geeta Bhawan Kalanaur, Haryana.

Manipur's Leishangthem Daina Chanu was also adjudged best fighter.

Hosts Haryana (76 points) and Maharashtra (64 points) finished runners up and second runners up at the championship, said Sarit-Sarak Association Manipur in a statement.

Local body representatives and SSAM functionaries attended the programme during which the athletes were encouraged with simple presents, it added.
