State team leave Imphal for Sub Junior and Junior Powerlifting Nationals

Imphal, May 17 2025: A strong 34-member State team today left Imphal for XIV National Sub-Junior and Junior Classic Powerlifting Championship 2025 to be held from May 20 to 25 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

The players who will be representing Manipur at the championship include Elangbam Goldson (53 kg), Laishram Ungamba (59 kg), M Leikhomba (66 kg), Ningombam Malemnganba (66 kg), Nongmaithem Roben (74 kg), Rajkumar Priyobarta (83 kg), Rajkumar Thoiba Sana (93 kg), Yumnam Tayal (93 kg), Akham Devaraj (105 kg), Chongtham Asha (43 kg), Thoudem Victoria (47 kg), Khumujam Princy (47 kg), Rajkumari Kekesana (52 kg), Kh Kritika (43 kg), Milem Linthoi (57 kg), Ningombam Vibinita (63 kg), Laishram Nipanda (69 kg) and Irom Linda (76 kg) in the sub-junior squad.

Keisham Albert (59 kg), Kangabam Chinglenkhomba (66 kg), Ningthoujam Dhanaraj (74 kg), K Velena (43 kg), Maibam Gulubi (57 kg), B Nimi (76 kg) and N Bidyarani (84 kg) are meanwhile in the junior squad.

Naorem Sushila and Konsam Rosida are leading the team as coaches, Oinam Sanatombi as the manager alongside 6 officials viz - Y Julia, O Deepa, Nameirakpam Gambhini, Yumnam Ingocha, Ngangom Nutanmanjuri and Maibam Sumamala.
