PAHULASI crowned team champions of State Thang-Ta C'ship

Imphal, July 08 2025: PAHULASI (Mayai Koibi) emerged as the overall team champions at the 34th State Sub-Junior and Senior Thang-Ta Championship 2025, which wrapped up on Tuesday at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom, Imphal West.

Organised by the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, the event saw widespread participation from across Manipur.

Displaying dominant performances across various categories, PAHULASI secured the championship title with an impressive tally of 9 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze medals, earning a total of 73.1 points.

PAHULASI fielded a robust team of 22 participants - 16 male and 4 female athletes - alongside 2 officials.

Meitei Nongsha Thang-Ta (Heirok) finished as runners-up, scoring 51.8 points with a tally of 6 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals from their 17-member squad.

The championship featured competitors across sub-junior boys and girls, as well as senior men's and women's categories.

A total of 28 teams from various districts - including Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kakching, and Thoubal - participated in the four-day tournament, contributing to a cumulative medal count of 76 gold, 40 silver, and 24 bronze.
