Imphal, March 01 2025: KVWA, Mayang Imphal will play OYO, Kongpal in the boys' final while KVWA will play KKLYDO, Kongpal in the girls' final of the ongoing 36th State Level Mini Boys and Girls Handball Tournament 2025 at CYLC ground, Singjamei Chingamathak.

KVWA reached the boys' final with a 32-23 win against MRC, Lilong Mairenkhong in the first semi-final match as OYO edged out SSC, Khurai 25-20 in another semi-final match.

Th Lanchenba (10) and S Wilson (7) led the scoring for KVWA in the first semi-final match as Th Malemthoiba and Th Mathoi scored five goals apiece.

H Punsiba and Avinash also contributed three goals to the team's tally as K Yaikumar (9), A Meghabarna (6) and Y Rishikanta (5) led the scoring for MRC.

Earlier today, KVWA defeated KKLYDO, Kongpal by 18-13 goals to finish their Pool A competition with four of four wins and qualified for the semi-finals alongside runners up OYO, Kongpal.

Th Lanchenba (6) and S Wilson (5) led the scoring for KVWA as Th Mathoi scored thrice and H Malemnganba and Th Malemthoiba added two goals apiece.

M Leishemba in the meantime scored 6 goals for KKLYDO while N Punaraj (4) and M Rishikumar (3) contributed 7 goals.

Meanwhile in the second semi-final match, OYO rode on goals from Ksh Yaithoiba (10), Ksh Santosh (6), S Lanchenba (5), Ksh Geetchandra (2) and T Malemnganba (2) to outlast SSC 25-20 .

N Zedane (7), N Robinson (8), K Mangan (4) and Y Amarjit (1) were on target for SSC.

In boys' Pool B matches staged earlier today, SSC, Khurai beat YLK, Chingarel Tejpur by 22-13 while LSWC beat ESU 7-4 .

KVWA, KKLYDO emerge victorious in girls' semi-finals

The day also saw KVWA and KKLYDO securing semi-final victories in the girls competition to complete the final line up.

KVWA entered the final with a 17-4 win over SSC as Th Mathoi (5), L Bidyaluxmi (4), Ng Jeenybala (3), Th Thoicha (3), H Naobi (1) and Th Lanchenbi (1) were on target.

For SSC, Kh Kajal (2), N Sinthoi (1) and N Taibangsatpi (1) found the target.

In the other semi-final match, N Dolly (6), Th Kristina (4) and Th Balika (2) scored to hand KKLYDO a 12-9 win over OYO whose Y Trivenia (6), Ksh Lanchenbi (2) and M Nirjana (1) were on target.

Earlier in the last league stage matches, SSC beat MRC 8-2 and KVWA beat IMC 11-2 .
