2nd Premier League: Wins for SSU, NISA

Imphal, June 30 2025:
Southern Sporting Union (SSU) and NISA scripted contrasting wins against their respective opponents in Monday's matches of the 2nd Premier League played at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
SSU edged past Angtha FC 3-2 courtesy of 90th minute goal by Sharangthem Rajdan Singh.
Earlier, Irungbam Mahesh Meetei (27th) put Angtha FC ahead but the lead lasted barely 10 minutes as Robert Usham restored parity for SSU in the 37th minute.
Tensubam Brucelee Meitei (82nd) netted the second Angtha goal only for Naorem Kishan Singh to neutralise the advantage with an 85th minute strike, before Rajdan sealed the victory.
Meanwhile, hat-trick of goals by Sapam Basanta Meitei (23rd, 70th & 78th) helped NISA trounce Dimapur Road Athletic Organisation (DMRAO) 6-1 .
The other goal scorers for NISA were Sagolsem Priyojit Singh (20th), Khumanthem Hemlet (25th) and Konsam Angamba Meitei, while DMRAO face-saver was scored by Ningthoujam Rohit Singh (2nd) .
