BYC lift cross border trophy

Behiang Youth Club 'A' have lifted the first cross-border football tournament that was organised by Behiang Youth Club with assistance from the Assam Rifles at the freshly renovated playground of the border village.
The final match played yesterday was graced by around 350 people drawn from neighbouring villages of L Kanan, Tonjang, Janglung, S Sehken, Suangphu and Hangsum with the Singngat Bn Assam Rifles additionally hosting a free medical for the villagers.
Peoples from Chika, Vanglai, Khenman and Tuimong in Myanmar have also turned-up for the medical camp and witness the football tournament's ultimate game.
BYC 'A' were awarded a trophy and a cash incentive of Rs 10,000 while the Runners Up Suangphu YC walked away with Rs 5,000 .
The best player, best goalkeeper and the highest scorer were also awarded a cash Rs 1,000 each.
A total of 15 teams drawn from the border villages both in India and from Myanmar have participated in the cross-border tournament, AR sources said.
